I have been remiss in posting on my blog lately as I’ve been fighting for another cause dear to my heart— sensible gun laws.  

As many of you know, Newtown is the next town over, my children and I have friends from Sandy Hook and I know a mom of one of the children slain.  Please watch this and call your Senators, Congresspeople, the President, Vice President and your local officials.  Demand that our children’s lives should be put ahead of the right to bear any weapon the NRA feels people should own.  

We are not asking for ban on guns (although I personally don’t like them and lived in a country where the police didn’t even carry them and felt safer there because of it) but asking for safe storage laws, comprehensive background checks for all sales, stiff penalties for trafficking, and a limit on assault rifles and high capacity clips.
